About Taylor
Taylor Garcia is a choreographer, dancer, performer, teaching artist, and content creator whose work spans live performance, arts education, and digital media. She began her dance training at the age of three and went on to earn a B.A. in Dance from the University of Alabama. Her choreographic voice earned early recognition when she was selected as one of just fourteen choreographers for New York's Young Choreographer's Festival, where she staged an original work at Manhattan's Symphony Space. From 2020 to 2022, Taylor served as lead choreographer for Encore Performance Company, developing original competition repertory for its dancers and helping the studio earn honors at both the state and national levels.
Taylor relocated to New York City in 2021 and in 2023 joined the Imogen Roche Foundation as a teaching artist and expanded her impact beyond the stage into public arts education. Through the Foundation, she has had the privilege of teaching dance to hundreds of students enrolled in arts programs at New York City public schools across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx. Alongside this work, Taylor has built a substantial online audience through short-form dance and creative content, amassing more than 170,000 followers across TikTok and Instagram. Whether choreographing for a twenty-person cast, performing before a live audience, teaching dancers of all ages, or creating digital content for social media, Taylor brings artistic precision, expressive versatility, and a natural ability to connect with audiences in any setting.
